Dr. Scott Nau, Cedar Rapids Pediatrics

Dr. Scott Nau of Cedar Rapids Pediatrics is much more than just a pediatrician to Mike & Jackie Kuntz of Solon. He is a part of their family.
Dr. Nau took care of the Kuntz’s son, Samuel, for 10 years before Sam died earlier this year. Born with special needs, Sam battled health issues for much of his short life.
“I can’t even put it into words what Dr. Nau has meant to us,” said Jackie. “He always went above and beyond for Samuel; his level of care and compassion was unparalleled. Dr. Nau never gave up – no matter how grim the diagnosis was. We credit him with keeping Samuel alive.”
Dr. Nau is holding his Guardian Angel card in the photo above. He is joined by Mike (left), Jackie (holding a picture of Samuel) and St. Luke’s President & CEO Ted Townsend.
The Guardian Angel program gives a patient or family an opportunity to express appreciation for a specific St. Luke’s associate, department or volunteer who made a difference in their health care experience. The gift is then directed to either the associate’s department or to the Guardian Angel Fund.
