That's what Tim Boyle of Cedar Rapids wrote about Dr. Sandeep Munjal, an orthopaedic surgeon with Physicians' Clinic of Iowa PC. After undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in June, Boyle nominated Dr. Munjal for a Guardian Angel Award to recognize his excellent work.
"I did not realize how much exercise and the freedom to walk, run and ski meant to me until I had knee problems earlier this year," said Boyle. "Dr. Munjal's work was flawless; his demeanor was comforting and his results have put a spring back in my step. We all use the phrase 'quality of life' when describing other peoples' outcomes. It is life itself when the problem is yours."

The Guardian Angel program gives a patient or family an opportunity to express appreciation for a specific St. Luke's associate or department who made a difference in their health care experience. The gift is then directed to either the associate's department or to the Guardian Angel Fund.
